TURBOTANK is a newly developed pickling system whereby the contents of the pickling bath is circulated internally so that a homogeneous composition, high fluid velocities and turbulent conditions in the pickling bath occur.

This method of pickling gives the following advantages:

1. Reduction of the pickling time by a factor of 2 to 5
2. Higher cleaning level of metal surfaces
3. Improving product quality
4. Increased production
5. Reduction in gross zinc consumption of 5 to 15%
6. Shorter lead times to increase flexibility
7. Sharp decrease in cleaning work after galvanizing
8. Minimization of strip and re galvanizing activities
9. Significantly lower consumption and waste hydrochloric acid production
10. Decrease in hydrochloric acid concentration in the pickling
11. Reduction of volume in the pickling volume
12. Less space required for the pickling department
13. Simple encapsulation of the pickling
14. Better working conditions

The above benefits have been proven in practice.

The first industrial TURBOTANK unit was installed 2006.

The TURBOTANK was presented internationally during Egga 2009 meeting in Madrid.

In 2010 around 10 TURBOTANK units were in operation.
